Emperor Penguin life-size bronze sculpture.
Emperor Penguins are the largest member of the penguin family. First brought to Europe by Edward Wilson, a contemporary of Scott and a member of his ill-fated expedition to reach the South Pole. My life-size bronze sculpture was commissioned by the Wilson Museum, to commemorate their association with him. The first cast of the edition of 12 will greet visitors to the Wilson, in Cheltenham, England, from November of this year.
Living in the harshest conditions on earth, Emperor Penguins are magnificent birds. My sculpture shows not only their sleek lines, but also their great charm and beauty.
