Description
Wrens are such a favourite of mine, with their beautiful song (incredibly loud for such a tiny bird). Always busy outside my house and studio, especially in winter, leading to their American name of, “Winter Wren”. Here in the UK we simply call them Wrens, or affectionately, “Jenny Wrens”.
One year, a pair of these cheeky little birds got the drop on our returning House Martens and moved in to one of their three nests, before they flew in from Africa for the summer, making it their own and raising two broods of chicks there!
