Description
Another sculpture of one of my favourite birds – the European Kingfisher. A little jewel of a bird. Usually glimpsed only as a flash of brilliant blue, moving rapidly up, or down stream. Only half seen and gone in the blink of an eye! But sometimes, if you’re very lucky, or know the right spot, you might get the opportunity to enjoy the sight of this beautiful bird, sat on one of its ‘fishing perches’, scanning the river for fish, then dropping like an arrow into the water beneath.
